This Privacy Policy explains what information YTMP4 ("we," "our," or "us") processes when you use ytmp4.works, and how that information is handled. YTMP4 is built to work without accounts, so it collects as little as possible to run the service.
Information We Collect
YTMP4 does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, or payment details to convert a video. The information we do process falls into two categories:
The link or search term you submit. When you paste a YouTube URL or type a search query, that input is sent to our servers to fetch the video and process your conversion. It is used only to complete that request.
Standard technical data. Like most websites, our servers and hosting/CDN providers automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing service issues, not for building advertising profiles.
Converted Files
Files you convert are processed and made available for download for a limited time, then removed from our servers. YTMP4 does not maintain a permanent library of the videos or audio you convert.
Cookies and Local Storage
YTMP4 uses your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference. This stays on your device and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies to profile visitors across other sites.
Third-Party Services
To fetch video and audio streams, YTMP4 communicates with YouTube's publicly available services. Your use of YouTube content through YTMP4 is also subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which we do not control.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited technical data with infrastructure providers (such as hosting or content-delivery services) strictly to operate YTMP4, or when required to comply with a valid legal request.
Children's Privacy
YTMP4 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above indicates the latest revision.
